Lift eFoils (e1, e2 & Lift3) or Flying Rodeo to decrease drag and noise and increase efficiency so you can extend your board's

.
This listing is for a 3D print of a Lift-compatible eFoil Tail Cone/Cowl/Cowling in a material that will stand up to sun and surf.
From Lift's website: liftfoils.com/lift-foils-questions-from-the-community
In what way is removing the prop guard on the eFoil a different experience?
Removing the prop guard and replacing with a tail cone will reduce drag and improve battery life by at least 35%.
It is also a smoother and more powerful ride.
Some report riding for up to
two hours
with a tail cone, instead of a prop guard/nozzle, and Lift's new high aspect wings.
If you ride your Lift efoil in the ocean where there is kelp/seaweed and you have ever had kelp/seaweed get stuck in your prop guard
/nozzle
then then you will want this solution. Of course this could apply to aquatic plants in fresh water as well. Your board will run quieter and have less drag so you will find your board is going faster at a given speed/governor setting and never will you need to clear kelp/plants/debris from your prop-guard again.
When the prop guard
/nozzle
is removed you need to replace it with a motor to prop cowling that Lift calls the "tail cone" to reduce drag and turbulence and maintain laminar flow... The tail cone/nozzle is included with Lift's
0
OEM folding prop for use in surf/ocean swell (not included), or you may buy Lift's
5
OEM tail cone/nozzle (not included)...

Here are links to a couple of video showing Lift's prop guard/nozzle being removed and the tail cone being fit into place as part of the move to Lift's folding prop

The bolts that hold the prop and prop guard/nozzle/tail cone and the propeller drive pin are also used with this product. All you need are 2.5mm and 5mm hex/Allen key/wrenches (not included). When reassembling it is always a good idea, with motor boat propellers, to put a thin smear of grease or Tef-Gel on the stainless prop shaft to prevent corrosion against the aluminum prop.
I ride from beaches where there is plenty of kelp and replacing the prop guard/nozzle with the tail cone was a game changer in terms of eliminating kelp tangled in the prop guard
/nozzle
. Extended battery life and a quieter and smoother ride were other welcome benefits resulting from the change to a tail cone.
When you share your board with those new to efoiling you may want to put the prop guard back in place in those instances to protect the noobs.
I have also read that some schools operate all their boards with the tail cone/nozzle for all users and train their riders to use extra care around the exposed propeller.
